The Government of Punjab has founded a Strategic Support Unit (SSU) in the Local Government and Community Development Department (LG & CD Dept) to deliver technical assistance to Local Governments and to assist the LG&CD department in the operation of its public policy. Main policy areas area solid waste and wastewater management, enhanced access to livestock markets, corporate governance and municipal finance.
